Our story and why to be a part of it
It all started in 2018, when Nedjeljko started conducting excursions mainly for friends and acquaintances and by the beginning of 2020, that was more than enough. That year, Nedjeljko and several other like-minded people created a Facebook group "PO ŠUMAMA I GORAMA" and from the initial 40 members, in a year the number has grown to 10,000 members, and thus the number of hikers has grown, Nedjeljko remains the administrator of the group, but also the only one who designs and leads excursions, and wants to raise the whole story "Po šume i gorama" to another level.
2021. Željka joined the excursions for the first time, more specifically on one of today's most popular excursions - Soča. Several trips, coffee resulted in us realizing that we complement and match and that we can create one good story. Sunday as a true nature lover, simple, dedicated to creating excursions, experienced in the mountains, he specializes in the Julian Alps and Zeljka as an accountant by vocabulary, a photography lover, a equipment researcher and people embark on an adventure called Mountain & Forest travel. And it is really a big adventure, being an entrepreneur in the Republic of Croatia is more than challenging, bureaucracy, constant learning, internal struggles, it is all our everyday life, but we believe in what we do, we accept the people who come to us as our friends, we learn and we want to continue to grow and develop.

As nature lovers (especially in the mountains), and travel in general, we have decided to offer our experience of organizing trips, as well as our vision of a good and interesting trip, to everyone who wants to use their free time, that is, to all those who can, and are ready, take a day, sometimes two and more, for a trip to nature. Sometimes these are purely hiking excursions, sometimes they are hiking, and some are a combination of hiking and simpler hiking, and lately you can find a purely hedonistic excursion. Our goal is to have fun on the excursions, completely relax and forget all the worries and problems, to enjoy the beautiful landscapes that we will visit, and to take beautiful memories and impressions from the excursions (with a lot of photos that will remind you of the beautiful moments spent on the excursions). One of our biggest advantages are small groups of 1-2 vans and we stay there even though for some of the excursions the interest is much higher. Our basic desire is to enjoy nature, stop for photography, but also a little faster pace for those who want it so, are something that such small groups can perform without major problems. On excursions we are always the two of us as guides and the group moves between us, there is no running, they do not leave something slower.
In addition to the love of nature itself, we nurture our own and your hedonistic-gastronomic spirit, so we include the local gastronomic offer in the excursions, and always in the course or at the very end take you to the local catering facility, local markets and the like, so that your palate experience the trips and the area where we are, and take the tastes as a memory.
