Biokovo Nature Park is one of the 12 nature parks in the Republic of Croatia. It comprises the mountain massif of the same name and is part of the mountain massif of the Dinarides. It was proclaimed a Nature Park in 1981, with an area of 195,5 km2. The highest peak of the Sveti Jure Park from 1762 meters above sea level is also the highest peak of the mountain Biokovo and the third highest peak in Croatia.

N.B.: The hardest part (rise the first day, 1200m altitude difference) walks with a light backpack, the rest of the stuff will be in the van in front of the Mountain lodge under Vošce.
FIRST DAY
We leave Zagreb at 5:30 p.m., and with one stop after 10 p.m. we arrive in Makarska and settle in apartments.
The Second Day
In the morning we get up and after breakfast we go to the place Makar from where the trail towards Vošce starts, which is reached by a moderate walk in 3-3.5 hours. The Serpentine track is, despite the steepness, quite pleasant to walk, although it is necessary to overcome the altitude difference of approximately 1200m. The first third of the trail is not open above Makarska itself, and then it enters the forest for a long time, and in the end it goes out into the open again. We'll take a break here. From Vošac we descend to the new mountain lodge / hotel under Vošac where a van with the rest of our belongings will be waiting for us. We take another break with refreshment (cold beers, etc.). We continue to the house Slobodan Ravlić on Lokva, where we will spend the night. It is not a mountain lodge, but a closed-type inn (it is necessary to take a key in Makarska), which does not mean that no one will be in the house. The house can accommodate about 20 people, it is supplied with kitchen, gas, water, electricity, wood stove works great. It takes about five hours to walk to the house (from Makar). Upon arrival at the house, we prepare dinner and continue as anyone pleases.
The Third Day
Getting up and having breakfast. At 8:00 we head to St. George's. We take the ridge road that starts 200-300 meters from the house. The route is mostly marked with marking rods, and occasionally with standard markings. The mountain hut under Jura is reached in about an hour, and from there it is another 20-25 minutes to the top. From home to the top, ‘gelender’ from the rope has been carried out, although it is generally easier without it, it serves more as a landmark. From Jure we descend the other way, towards Vošac, from where we continue to Makarska with a van. In case of nice weather, we first go to the beach for swimming, and then for dinner. Return to Zagreb is expected in the evening.
