Camino Vinodol is part of the Camino Croatia network, opened in spring 2026. The debt is just over 90km and is divided into 5 stages. It is the route from Senj to Jadranovo, where the sea, karst and picturesque hinterland alternate, lots of vineyards and forests, coastal towns, old towns and traces of rich history.
The story begins in Senj, under the fortress Nehaj, and continues through the hinterland towards the Krmpotae and the church of St. Peter. Jacob.
One of the most beautiful places is the old town of Ledenice, with one of the lookouts, which belongs to the set of lookouts "The Eyes of Vinodola". Among the remains of stone walls, it is easy to imagine the former life of this fortified place, and the views towards the sea are an additional reason to pause here and enjoy the view.
There are also Novi Vinodolski, its old streets and Frankopan heritage, so Bribir, with its old core and tower Turan, the remaining part of the former castle.
In the Vinodol area there is a preserved Drivenička gradina. Situated on a hill above the valley, with its towers and walls, it is one of those points that you want to visit, look up close and hear something about them. Then there is the Tribaljsko Lake, for a slightly different landscape and a break by the lake overlooking the Drivenička gradina. Then walk along the river Dubračina to Crikvenica - simply perfect.
Through Crikvenica and Dramalj, the road returns to the coast, promenades along the sea and views of Krk, and ends in Jadranovo, which was once called Sv. Jakov, in the case of the tuner and the ‘Fishers’ House’ in Perčin Bay. It was here that residents hunted tuna for centuries and pulled fishing nets. The house, once built for the needs of tuna vessels and renovated back in 1878, is today a small exhibition space of the Museum of the City of Crikvenica, which preserves the memory of fishermen and life related to the sea.

Camino Vinodol 2nd stage: Jakov polje - Ledenice

itinerary

We start from Zagreb at 6:30, and, with one stop, around 9:15, we come to Jakov field from where the second stage starts. The start of the trip is on the main road, so we'll do it with a vehicle. Somewhere halfway to Ledenice, the trail turns towards the mountain hut Vinište and further towards the viewpoint of Sviba and the sky labyrinths. In our opinion, this part is not very best solved, because from there again it is necessary to return on the same path to Viništa and the path to Ledenice. In addition, it would take us a lot of time and energy because there are plenty of ups. Therefore, we do not turn here, but continue towards Ledenice. The trail passes along the old town itself, so we will visit it along the way. In the immediate vicinity is another Eye of Vinodola, the Gradina viewpoint. This is where the first part of today's trip ends. The vehicle will take us to the heavenly labyrinths and later to the gazebo Sviba, another Oka Vinodola. Along the way is a glass chapel, another interesting thing along the track. Finally, we go to the tavern Studec (slightly above Novi Vinodolski) for dinner. Return to Zagreb is scheduled in the evening.
